Antique printed color map of part of South America, including Paraguay, part of Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, and the Falkland Islands, by Appleton, published in 1892. Colored by country and showing cities, railroads, some topography, and distances to various ports. Inset maps of the environs of Montevideo, environs of Buenos Ayres (Aires), Bay of Valparaiso, vicinity of Santiago. Very good condition with some toning that is a bit darker at the paper edges. Measures approx. 19 x 12.25 inches to the neatline. This is part of a set of three- the other maps are SAM387 and SAM388.
