This colored antique map was published in Letts's 1883 Popular Atlas, Being a Series of Maps Delineating the Whole Surface of the Globe, with Many Special and Original Features. This map shows southern India and details Ceylon (present-day Sri Lanka.) Insets give statistics regarding native states and a list of 44 towns in British India having populations exceeding 50,000. Showing major points of interest and geological features, it measures approximately 15.5 x 14 inches and is in good antique condition with some toning and foxing and discoloration at center fold.
