Antique black and white map of a southeastern portion of Brazil and present-day Uruguay. Includes Lagoa Mirim (spelled Lac de Merim on the map) and surrounding areas including Montevideo, although this is left unmarked. Features illustrated topographical details and a decorative cartouche. Published by Bellin, in "L'Histoire Generale des Voyages," 1756. With folds, as issued. Visible plate mark. Very good overall antique condition with mild toning and soiling of the paper, and roughing of the outer edges. Measures approximately 9.25" x 6.75" to the neatline.
