This celestial map is from the French version of the Astronomischer Bilder Atlas, by Wilhelm Nitzschke, 1862. This print shows the solar system with the orbits of the planets, the moons of arious planets, the path of Halley's Comet, and more. This is a "Hold-to-Light". When held up to a light or a window, the planets and sun appear illuminated. Backed with one small piece of yellow parchment and colored tissue. Very good antique condition, with some minor signs of age. Page measures approx. 11.5 x 9.5 inches.
