High quality reproduction of a 1929 black and white map of Scituate, Massachusetts, by Frederic T. Bailey. Map is rich with historical detail- showing names of property owners, names of major roads, points of interest, historical events, etc. Includes an inset map showing the changes to the mouth of the North River during the storm of 1898. Features a reference chart of "episodes in the Tercentenary Observance" on September 2-3, 1936. Three poems are included around the map: "The Old Oaken Bucket" by Samuel Woodworth, "Minot's Light" (unlisted author,) and an excerpt from "December in Scituate" by Bliss Carman. Printed area measures approximately 16.25" x 21" (H x W) overall. Measured to the edges of the printed area.
