Antique hand colored map of modern Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Djibouti. Engraved by J Dower. From A Descriptive Atlas of Astronomy and of Physical and Political Geography by the Rev. Thomas Milner, maps by Augustus Petermann, and published by William S. Orr & Co, 1850. Sections at bottom show topography. Very good condition with some minor signs of age, such as spots, toning, and mild image transfer. Tight margin. Page measures approx. 9.25 x 12 inches.
