This antique hand colored map entitled, The Distribution of Animals, According to Zone of Climate, Designed to Accompany Cartee's Physical and Political Geography, was published in 1856 by Hickling, Swan, and Brown. Engraved by G.W. Boynton, it includes a pictorial inset of the Distribution of Animals in a Vertical Direction. It was originally published in A School Atlas of Physical Geography, Illustrating, in a Series of Maps Compiled from the Celebrated Atlases of A. Keith Johnston, and of Milner and Petermann, The Elementary Facts of Geology, Hydrology, Meteorology, and Natural History by Cornelius S. Cartee, A. M. Measuring 11 x 13.5 inches, this piece is in very good antique condition with minor toning and foxing. **SOLD**
