Antique printed color pictorial map of the area around Boston, MA, by Ernest Dudley Chase, 1938. This map shows the area from Melrose, Winchester, and Lexington in the north to Wollaston, Milton, and West Roxbury in the south and as far west as Natick and Concord. It is filled with illustrations of notable buildings, giving a little glimpse of each town. There is so much packed into this fantastic map and it will deliver new delights each time you admire it! This map is framed and we have not opened the frame to fully inspect the map. It appears to be in good condition with some tears on the left side and one on the bottom. May be affixed to a board, but we suspect it is not. Framing is somewhat recent and matting appears to be acid-free, which suggests archival framing. Measures approx. 17.5 x 23 inches to the border line and 22 x 28 inches to the frame edges. **NOTE- because this map requires extra insurance for shipping, an additional charge will appear on your card after your original purchase.
