1873
Maker: Beers.
Antique page of maps from the Atlas of Long Island, New York, by Beers, Comstock & Cline, 1873. Centerfold map is Flatbush, NY with Prospect Park, Erasmus Hall Academy. Back sides are New Utrecht and Bath on one side and Bayridge (part of New Utrecht) on the other side. These are all parts of modern Brooklyn. These maps show businesses, churches, roads, railroads, parks, property owners. Original hand-coloring. Very good antique condition, some toning that is darker at the paper edges, slight image transfer, some minor spots/foxing. On the Flatbush map there appears to be a slight printer’s mistake (smudged ink) near Grant st. Bayridge side has a small minor stain at top and some mild color smudges. The stain on Bayridge is not visible on the Flatbush side. Measures approx. 14 x 22 inches (centerfold, to the neatline) and 10.75 x 14 inches on verso maps.
