Antique black and white illustration of the Emma Willard School in Troy, New York, (then called Troy Female Seminary), the first educational institution in the United States founded with the intention of providing young women with an education comparable to that of college-educated young men. Surrounding the image are descriptions of the types of classes provided by the school, as well as the quality of the school's teachers. Very good overall antique condition with mild toning and foxing, as well as some very minor roughing of the outer edges. Page measures approximately 6.5" x 9.75" (H x W) overall.
