Genuine Vintage Map Puzzle

Delightful vintage jigsaw puzzle map using Ernest Dudley Chase's map America the Wonderland. Undated, however this was made by Jaymar Specialty Company, which began producing puzzles in the 1940s and Chase's map was published in 1941. We estimate this to be circa 1945 because the box does not indicate how many pieces there are, nor does it have an image of the actual puzzle on it, which suggests it is early. It must have been popular because it was re-issued with a different outer border color and at a larger size. Die-cut on state lines with interlocking borders. The map features "Wonders of Nature, State Capitols, Historical Landmarks, Major Industries, National Parks, [and] Natural Resources." Complete with all pieces. Box has obvious wear on the edges. Puzzle pieces are generally in good to very good condition with some natural mild wear from use. Finished puzzle size is approx. 14 x 18 inches.
