Antique map of the United States and Mexico published by Justus Perthe in Stieler's Schul Atlas c. 1880. This map offers an interesting glimpse into the US when many of the western states were still territories, indicated by the yellow outline, as oposed to a blue outline for states. An inset map of Great Britain for scale. At bottom is an elevation profile showing the heights of various mountains through the country, the flatness of the plains, and a separate profile for Mexico on the right side. A list of abbreviations on right side. German. Good to very good antique condition with some minor wear and a repaired tear in margins. Measures approx. 8 x 10 inches to the neatline.
