High quality black and white reproduction of Merian's mid-17th century bird's eye view of Venice, printed on 100 percent heavy cotton vellum; with extraordinary detail of the ancient city's beautiful buildings, bridges, towers and canals, the Venetian Lagoon, outlying islands, and the city's coat of arms. Made using a combination of modern technology and traditional methods, wherein an original is scanned, its likeness is digitally etched onto an engraving plate, then the plate is used to print the image in the traditional way, with a printing press. This item may have some very minor spotting/staining mostly in the margins. This reproduction measures approx. 11.75 x 27.5 inches to the neatline. Total sheet size is approx. 22 x 30 inches.
