Antique hand-colored map of the town of Webster, Maine. Published by Sanford, Everts & Co. in their "Atlas and History of Androscoggin County, Maine," 1873. Webster was incorporated in 1840 when it was separated from Lisbon, and changed its name to Sabattus in 1971 in honor of a former Anasagunticook Native American Indian chief. Map is colored by district and includes the names of property owners at the time. Features a simple, decorative border. Good overall antique condition with some toning, some foxing/ spots/stains. Measures approximately 14.25" x 11.75" (H x W) to the outer edges of the border.
