Vintage pictorial illustrated map by "Ham" Edwards Art Service for the Wilmington Transportation Company, which operated the steamships that connected the island with Los Angeles. This map was published as part of a brochure for the island and is undated. North is oriented to the bottom. Photos and description of the island's attractions, including the Casino and Catalina Bird Park. Shown on the map are the Ning Po pirate ship built in 1753 that was anchored at Santa Catalina for display in 1917, the casino, country club, submarine gardens, mountains, beaches, bays, and more. The map shows all of these sites with charming cartoon illustrations of visitors enjoying the island. Neptune appears near the title and a mermaid graces the upper right corner. Very good condition with folds as issued, some small holes along the center fold from staples where it was attached into the booklet. This is the map only, not the full brochure. Measures approx. 9 x 16 inches to the paper edges.
