Antique guidebook for Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado, published by Poole Bros, Inc. for the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad Company, 1931. The booklet includes many picturesque black and white photographs, a foreword called, "An Appreciation of Rocky Mountain National Park," and writing by Clem Yore which includes descriptions of the park, the climate and season, suggestions for recreation, detailed descriptions of specific areas of the park, flora and fauna, etc., as well as information about accommodations, trails, travel routes, tours, recommendations on when to visit, etc. There is a black and white railroad map of the western United States on the last page, titled, "The Vacation Map," and a printed color folding map of Rocky Mountain National Park mounted on the back cover of the booklet, titled, "Rocky Mountain National-Estes Park, Colorado." The folding map has an inset map showing the vicinity of the park, including Denver. The guidebook and folding map are in very good antique condition, with some toning and very mild soiling of the cover of the booklet. The folding map measures approximately 13.5" x 11.25" to the neatline. The guidebook measures approx. 9.25" x 6.25" overall.
