Antique natural history map of the world showing the river systems of the world from the Atlas of Physical Geography by Alexander Keith Johnston, printed by William Blackwood & Sons, 1869. The full title is: "The River Systems of the World showing the Boundaries & Extent of the Great River Basins and the Different Oceans, Seas, Lakes &c. to which they contribute their waters." At bottom is a diagram comparing the lengths of the principal rivers. Original printed-color. Good antique condition with mild foxing and some stains at top in margin. Thick paper with a gilded edge. Measures approx. 9.25 x 12 inches to the neatline.
