Antique hand colored map from "Atlas of Physical Geography" published c.1850 by Petermann and Milner. This map highlights the oceans and river systems of the globe, as shown by the western and eastern hemispheres. Features an inset map, "Sketch showing the Comparative Extent of the Oceans" and a small diagram which shows the elevation of some of the Principal Lakes. Engraved by J Dower. Good condition with some minor signs of age, such as spots, toning, and image transfer. Page measures approx. 14 x 21 inches.
