Antique hand colored map from "Atlas of Physical Geography" published c.1850 by Petermann and Milner. Engraved by J Dower. This map shows the distribution of various important plants at the time, such as coffee, date palm, vanilla, barley and rye, as well as types of valuable wood. An inset map is included , "The Districts of the Mokha-Coffee, according to Ritter," showing a more detailed view of the northernmost Horn of Africa and the regions of coffee production. Very good antique condition, with some minor foxing and light spots/staining in around the margins. Measures approximately 10.5 inches by 14 inches.
