Antique page with two printed color maps, one showing the density of the population across the world and the other showing the prevalence of different religions across the world and how the races of the world were categorized at that time. The listed religions are Protestant, Greek Orthodox, Roman Catholic, "Minor Christian Rites," (with a note listing these as Armenian, Coptic and Abyssinian, Syrian, "Chaldaean," or "Nestorian,") "Mohammedan," Buddhist, Hindu, and "Heathen." The map also denotes the geographic areas made up of "Mestizos," and separates this group into Spanish-speaking and Portuguese-speaking. Published by Longmans, Green, & Co., c. 1890. Center fold, as issued. Good to very good antique condition with mild toning throughout and some mild staining and edge wear with small tears, mainly along the bottom edge of the paper, as well as seam separation at the top of the center fold. Measures approximately 9.5" x 12.5" to the neatline.
