Antique printed color map showing the distribution of carnivorous animals (such as bears, tigers, otters, etc.) throughout the world, from "The Physical Atlas of Natural Phenomena" by Alexander Keith Johnston, published by William Blackwood and Sons in 1856. With illustrations showing animals of the "old world" and "new world" as well as a chart showing the distribution of these animals by height above sea level. In very good antique condition with some minor foxing, this piece measures approximately 20 x 24 inches. As-is.
