Antique map showing the distribution of monkeys, marsupials, and pachyderms throughout the world, from "The Physical Atlas of Natural Phenomena" by Alexander Keith Johnston, published by William Blackwood and Sons in 1856. With illustrations showing animals of the "old world" and "new world". Subtle printed-color indicates the locations of various orders of animals. In very good antique condition with some minor foxing and a slight seam separation at bottom, this piece measures approximately 20 x 24 inches.
